New York Bridal Fashion Week Recap: 2025 Wedding Dress Trends

Going to New York Bridal Fashion Week for market was SO surreal. As a young owner of a brand new bridal shop in Hickory - a SUPER small town compared to some of the people that were there - it felt like something straight out of a dream! I can’t believe that this is my life - getting to go to my favorite city of all time to buy inventory for my small business!

Aside from my personal take on market, NYBFW was FILLED with so many amazing wedding dresses. We got to see so many amazing pieces and designers and pick up on some of the latest trends for wedding dresses. See our recap + some trendy styles below that we’ll be bringing to our Hickory, NC bridal shop!

Bow Details:

From Wtoo and Serene’s newest collection, catch bow details. Bows as sleeves, bows ON sleeves, bow belts, etc.

We love the coquette and minimal bow look and think you’ll love the gowns we picked out that have bow details!

Scarves:

We are OBSESSED with the scarf look on wedding dresses - and we saw them everywhere at bridal fashion week! We think it’s a chic addition to elevate your bridal style and we cannot wait to bring some of these Jenny Yoo gowns with scarves to our Hickory, NC wedding dress shop.

Unique Waistlines:

Drop waists, basque waists, and asymmetrical waists are everywhere this year. We are definitely bringing some fun waists to Hickory from these collections - it’s such a fun way to elevate your bridal look and bring a couture feel in.

High Necklines:

We see people either love or hate these, but we think high necklines are a super fun way to make your wedding dress unique! We will definitely have some options for those who love it in our Hickory bridal shop.
